How we help
Cash flow depends on getting paid. We help individuals, landlords and businesses recover debts through a structured, proportionate process — from the first reminder through Letter Before Action, court claim and, where necessary, enforcement.
Who this is for: Sole traders, landlords, SMEs and individuals owed money and looking for a proportionate route to recovery.
What is included
- Debt review and interest calculation
- Structured collection letters and Letter Before Action
- Statutory demand preparation (where appropriate)
- Money Claim Online (MCOL) and N1 preparation
- Enforcement guidance (warrants, attachment of earnings, third-party debt orders)
- Corporate debtor and pre-insolvency guidance
Process
How the process works
01
Assessment
We confirm the debt, interest and evidence and recommend a proportionate path.
02
Pre-action
We prepare a compliant Letter Before Action giving the debtor a defined window to respond.
03
Claim
If no response, we help you issue via MCOL or N1 with the appropriate court fee.
04
Enforcement
If judgment is not paid, we help you choose and apply for the right enforcement method.
When we help
Common situations we help with
Every matter is different, but the following situations come up frequently. If any of these sound like yours, we can help.
- Persistent late-paying commercial customer
- Individual debtor ignoring reminders
- Undisputed invoice above the statutory demand threshold
- Judgment already obtained but not paid
- Landlord recovering rent arrears alongside possession
Frequently asked
Common questions
- When is a statutory demand appropriate?
- Usually for undisputed debts of £750+ (companies) or £5,000+ (individuals). It is a serious step because non-payment can lead to winding-up or bankruptcy proceedings, so it must be used carefully.
- What if the debtor disputes the debt?
- Statutory demands are inappropriate for disputed debts. We help you assess whether the dispute is genuine or a delay tactic and recommend the right route.
- How much does it cost to issue a claim?
- Court fees are on a sliding scale — for example, £455 to issue a claim of £5,000, or 5% of the claim value for claims over £10,000 up to £10,000 fee cap.
