Frequently asked
Common questions
- What track will my claim fall into?
- Small claims (up to £10,000), fast track (£10,000–£25,000), intermediate track (£25,000–£100,000) and multi-track (above £100,000). Complexity may adjust this.
- Can I claim interest?
- Yes — either contractual interest or statutory interest under section 69 of the County Courts Act 1984 (8% per annum from when the debt fell due).
- What if my claim is defended?
- The court will allocate it to a track and set directions. We can help you prepare witness statements and a bundle for the hearing.
