When we help
Common situations we help with
Every matter is different, but the following situations come up frequently. If any of these sound like yours, we can help.
- Boundary dispute with a neighbour
- Service charge you believe is unreasonable
- Deposit dispute at the end of a tenancy
- Landlord failing to repair or address hazards
- Right of way blocked or interfered with
Frequently asked
Common questions
- Do I have to go to court?
- Rarely as a first step. Most property disputes resolve through negotiation, scheme adjudication or the First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber). Court is a last resort.
- Can I recover my costs?
- In court proceedings, usually yes if you succeed and the case is above the small-claims limit. In the First-Tier Tribunal, costs recovery is more limited.
